Will Oil Independence Mean an End to the Saudis?

The Saudis are now worried that a more energy independent America will end up crippling their economy.

Despite a report from the U.N. showing they're expected to make $23 Trillon dollars in the next 20 years.

Should we be setting up some sort of welfare system for the Saudis? Absolutely not!

They're ultimately responsible for diversifying their own economy, and from the looks of it they will have plenty of time.

Stealing the Numbers: Criminals Hired for Census

Just when you thought the 2010 U.S. Census was secure from the curruption at ACORN.

A new report from the General Accounting Office (GAO) has come out saying criminals may have been hired to do house to house canvassing. The report states that problems with the fingerprinting of new workers, may have allowed people with previous felony convictions to work for the Census Bureau.

Will our country go the way of Zimbabwe?

In 2006, the economy of Zimbabwe collapsed after Mugabe's goverment attempted to print his way out of debt.

Is our country going in the same direction?

Our budget deficit is now predicted to reach $1.4 Trillon in 2009, an amount not seen since World War II. Just in the last six months the value of the dollar has dropped 11.5 percent, and now countries are seeking to drop the dollar as a reserve currency.

If we continue to print money to fund an ever expanding government we will experience a level of hyperinflation not since Zimbabwe's economic collapse.

Ted Kennedy's 1,000 Women Story

Well it turns out Ted Kennedy's new book True Compass left some things out.

According to the National Enquirer (well they did break the John Edwards story) among the parts that were left out of his book was a claim that he had slept with over 1,000 women, and intended to seduce Mary Jo Kopechne the night his car plunged into the water in Chappaquiddick.

It was one of many claims that were eliminated from the book by his family in order to save their reputation.

I guess we'll have to wait for others to write the real story about his life.

One Tax Cheater the Democrats Refuse to Cut

Far from cleaning out curruption, the Democrats seem to embrace it.

Today they voted to keep tax cheating Charlie Rangel as chairman of the House Ways and Means committee.

A guy who can't keep track of his own taxes, is writing the tax laws for the rest of us.

So much for hope and change in Washington.

No One Denies More Patients than Medicare.

We constantly hear from those who support the public option talk about the evils of private insurance. They point out that's profit driven, not care driven, but guess who denies the most claims? It's Medicare!

According to statistics provided by the American Medical Association (which by the way, supports the public option) Medicare denies 6.85% of all claims submitted, twice the amount of claims denied by private insurance.

Shows how much care and compassion you can expect from the government!

More Taxes? The Problem with a VAT

What ever happened to cutting government spending?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has proposed introducing a Value Added Tax (VAT) to help the economy.

The Value Added Tax is a value destroying tax that will increase the size of goverment, while slowing economic growth and destroying jobs.

Unless we're prepared to completely eliminate the income tax, a VAT would simply transfer more of your money to the government.

When the chips are down, use the race card.

The Democrats love to be seen as the victims. Anytime you disagree with their politics you're either sexist, racist, or a homophobic. The problem with that argument is that it replaces real debate about an issue with shameless accusation. It's time we deal with the issues based on the facts, when conservatives disagree with the President it's about his politics not his race. Those who say otherwise are simply seeking to silence debate.
